Homes Not Handcuffs

No matter what you like, where you come from, or how much money you earn, everyone deserves a safe, secure place to call home. As the cost of living soars, and with shelters full and often unsafe, too many of our neighbours are left with nowhere to go.

Instead of giving these folks the help to get them back into housing they need, Premier Doug Ford wants to give cities the power to arrest and imprison people with nowhere else to go, and force people with addictions into ineffective treatment programs.

This is not the solution to homelessness—it's ineffective, it’s expensive, and it’s cruel.

Take Action Now

The movement to end homelessness is taking a stand—in Ontario and across the country. Take action to support homes not handcuffs.

Forcing people out of encampments with police won’t solve the problem. Let’s push for an urgent, compassionate, housing response that works.

Homelessness isn’t solved with handcuffs or forced treatment. Premier Ford and his mayors' plan ignores housing solutions and attacks basic human rights—it's ineffective, expensive, and dangerous.
