Ask Your MPP to Support More Homes, Not More Handcuffs

Premier Doug Ford has released his new encampment plan to criminalize people for not having a home. Ford’s plan will hurt people who are already suffering, cost taxpayers millions, spread encampments into more neighbourhoods and make the homeless crisis worse. 

Ford wants to give cities more power to increase enforcement and dismantle encampments when residents have nowhere else to go. This plan will lead to more people in jail for simply not having a home, ballooning police budgets and more people dying from overdoses in alleyways — while homelessness continues to surge.

We need your urgent help to ask Ford, your MPP and key ministers not to support the new proposed law, which could come as early as next week.
